Open Access & Archiving Policy

International Journal of Education, Society and Policy (IJESP)
ISSN: 3139-5767
Publisher: Sakun Publishing House

1. Open Access Policy
The International Journal of Education, Society and Policy (IJESP) supports the free dissemination of scholarly research and aims to make published articles accessible to researchers, academicians, students, policymakers, and the wider academic community.

All published articles are made available online through the official IJESP website without subscription fees. Readers can access the journal's published content regardless of their geographical location or institutional affiliation.

2. Access to Published Articles
IJESP provides online access to its published articles through its official website and journal archive.
Readers may view and download published articles for academic, educational, and research purposes, subject to the copyright and licensing conditions applicable to each article.

Any reproduction, redistribution, adaptation, or commercial reuse of published material must comply with the journal's applicable copyright and licensing terms.

3. Copyright and Licensing
Copyright ownership and licensing arrangements for published articles are governed by the journal's separate Copyright and Licensing Policy.

Authors and readers should consult this policy for information regarding copyright ownership, permitted reuse, distribution, and attribution requirements.

Open access provides free access to published research; however, it does not automatically permit unrestricted reproduction, redistribution, or commercial reuse.

4. Author Self-Archiving
IJESP permits authors to share links to their published articles through personal websites, institutional webpages, academic profiles, and other scholarly platforms, subject to the applicable copyright and licensing conditions.

Authors sharing their published work must:

  • Provide complete bibliographic details of the original publication.
  • Acknowledge IJESP as the original publishing journal.
  • Include the original article webpage and DOI wherever available.
  • Follow the applicable copyright and licensing requirements.

Sharing submitted or accepted manuscript versions must also comply with the journal's copyright and licensing conditions.
5. Digital Archiving and Long-Term Preservation
IJESP is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, continued accessibility, and integrity of its published scholarly content.

The journal participates in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a digital preservation initiative developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) for journals using Open Journal Systems (OJS). Through this network, IJESP's published content is preserved within a distributed digital preservation infrastructure designed to safeguard scholarly records against data loss and support long-term access.

In addition to PKP PN preservation, the journal maintains routine website and content backup procedures, including published article files and associated publication metadata, to further safeguard its scholarly archive.

Through these preservation arrangements, IJESP aims to maintain the continuity, reliability, and long-term accessibility of its published research.

6. DOI and Article Metadata
Published articles are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) through Crossref, subject to successful registration.

The journal maintains article-level publication information and metadata to support the identification, citation, linking, and scholarly discoverability of published research.
DOIs provide persistent identification for published articles and facilitate reliable citation and access. However, DOI registration alone does not constitute a digital preservation service.

7. Corrections, Retractions and the Scholarly Record
IJESP is committed to maintaining the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of its published scholarly record.

Where necessary, published articles may be corrected, retracted, or updated in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.
Relevant correction or retraction notices will be linked to the affected article wherever applicable.

The journal aims to maintain appropriate publication records and transparency regarding changes to published content.

8. Policy Updates
IJESP may review and revise this policy when necessary to reflect changes in its publishing practices, open-access arrangements, digital preservation procedures, and applicable standards.
Any revised version of this policy will be published on the official journal website.
